Five Ways to Style The Abigail Modest Dress

Five Ways to Style The Abigail Modest Dress

Welcome to our FIRST Fashion Friday blog post! Grab a cup of coffee and start scrolling as we have some pretty sweet treats waiting here for you!! We have styled our Abigail Modest Merrow Stitch dress with classic + un-conventional pairings, adding modesty and versatility to your wardrobe!

Here are FIVE ways to style our Abigail Midi and Maxi dress!

1. Be Original.

We love the idea of layering skirts over dresses! Our Abigail midi in dusty rose seemed like the perfect dress to layer under one of our favorite skirts! This look creates added layering under the skirt with no added bulk!  This eliminates the need for any type of slip.  Our favorite part you ask....? The merrow stitching that peeks above the skirt waist-band, adding that extra touch of femininity! This is a great way to get more use out of your current wardrobe!

2. A Day Out With the Girls!

Ok ladies, we JUMPED on the jumper train! When we spied this v-neck sweetie at market, we were instantly smitten by the simplicity of this chambray-like dress. A fun twist we found was layering it over our Abigail midi! ( The Abigail comes in FOUR colors leaving you with lots of options ladies!!) This fun outfit is great for a girl's day!  Meet your friends for brunch, do some shopping downtown and hit up the farmer's market on the way home to snag your favorite flowers!  All while never compromising modesty with this style! Fun fact; the Abigail dress acts as a slip and adds coverage to the slit in the back of the jumper!

3. A Pop of Color!

We are the first to admit that we crush on neutral colors. Anyone else look into their closet and see stacks of black, tan, taupe, dark gray, light gray, heather gray...did we say gray?! The great thing about neutral colored wardrobes is you can pair almost anything with them...making it the perfect investment piece! We layered a striped mustard tee over our Abigail maxi dress and tied a playful knot to the side to finish off the outfit. This gives the look an illusion of a maxi skirt! Dual purpose + maximizing your closet - ummm yes, we are all about it!

4. Date night.

Being able to go from school meetings to date night with one dress?! You bet! Layer a light-weight cardigan over this dress and finish the look with a belt to be date-night ready! Ditch your big tote for a refined clutch and slip your favorite shoes on as you head out the door with your honey! Not wasting time fretting over an outfit is time well-spent!

5. Casually Content.

Sitting in your home with coffee in one hand + a kiddo or talking to a friend on the phone in the other...life has never been more beautiful! This midi-dress paired with a zip up sweatshirt  and casual details complements a morning spent making time for the little things in life!

I really like this idea, of showing how you can really use just one item to create a variety of different looks. Thank you for doing this! I can especially see myself (mom of 6, almost 40) wearing the “casually content” for everyday at home with the kids, and the “date night” when I need something more formal like to church, a wedding, a funeral, and yes, also a date :) Great idea, keep them coming. I also like that you tell us where you got all the items in the pictures. I always struggle with what kind of shoes to wear with different outfits and would really love a post on streamlining shoes. One pair of shoes that works for many different outfits kind of thing. Thanks!

I LOVE these style ideas! I especially like the jumper and the casually content outfit 😍 so cute!
One request from an elder sister….. She would LOVE to see a turquoise or magenta colored below knee denim skirt. 😊
